Disclaimer
Last updated: April 29, 2026
Please read this disclaimer carefully before using the HDI assessment or any content on HDI.Vision. By accessing our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the limitations described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Not a Medical or Clinical Tool
The Human Digital Index (HDI) assessment and all content published on hdi.vision and test.hdi.vision are provided for educational, self-awareness, and research purposes only.
The HDI assessment does not:
- Constitute a clinical diagnosis, psychological evaluation, or psychiatric assessment
- Provide medical advice, treatment recommendations, or therapy
- Replace or supplement consultation with a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, GP, or any other qualified healthcare professional
- Identify, confirm, or rule out any mental health condition or disorder under any clinical classification system (DSM-5, ICD-11, or otherwise)
- Assess clinical risk, including risk of self-harm or harm to others
Tomislav Krištof and HDI.Vision are not licensed healthcare providers. No clinical, therapeutic, or professional relationship of any kind is established by your use of the platform.
2. Not a Medical Device
The HDI assessment platform and its algorithms are not a medical device within the meaning of:
- EU Regulation 2017/745 on Medical Devices (EU MDR)
- EU Regulation 2017/746 on In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices (EU IVDR)
- Any equivalent national legislation in any jurisdiction
The platform does not diagnose, monitor, predict, prevent, or treat any medical condition or disease. It is a proprietary behavioural research instrument measuring self-reported patterns of digital behaviour and their relationship to digital wellbeing, developed for educational and academic purposes.
3. Self-Reported Data and Result Limitations
HDI scores and reports are based entirely on your self-reported responses at a specific point in time. Results are therefore subject to the following limitations:
- Recall bias - your answers reflect your perception of behaviour, not objectively measured behaviour
- Situational variability - results may differ significantly if the assessment is taken at a different time, under different circumstances, or in a different emotional state
- Response bias - conscious or unconscious tendencies to answer in socially desirable ways may affect accuracy
- Research context - the HDI is a research instrument under continuous development; it does not have the same psychometric validation standards as clinically certified assessment tools
Results should be treated as one data point for self-reflection, not as definitive or permanent characterisations of your personality, mental state, or digital habits.
4. AI-Generated Content
HDI improvement reports and personalised recommendations are generated using artificial intelligence - specifically, large language model services provided by third-party AI companies. AI-generated content:
- Is provided for informational and reflective purposes only
- Does not constitute professional advice of any kind (psychological, medical, legal, financial, or otherwise)
- May contain inaccuracies, generalisations, or content that does not apply to your specific circumstances
- Should not be the sole basis for any significant personal, health, or professional decision
For AI report generation, HDI minimizes the data sent to the AI provider and does not send your name, email, organization name, or account identifier for that purpose.
HDI.Vision does not accept liability for any action taken or not taken based on AI-generated output.
5. No Liability for Decisions Based on Results
HDI.Vision, Tomislav Krištof, and any affiliated researchers or educators expressly disclaim all liability for:
- Any decision - personal, professional, medical, legal, or otherwise - made in reliance on HDI results or recommendations
- Any hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, disciplinary, insurance, credit, legal-status, or similar decision made in reliance on HDI results or recommendations
- Any emotional distress, discomfort, or adverse psychological reaction arising from review of assessment results
- Any failure to seek professional help based on or contrary to assessment results
- Any misinterpretation of results by the user or any third party
By using the Services, you assume full responsibility for how you interpret and act upon your results.
Organizations must not use HDI as the sole or determinative basis for employment, disciplinary, legal, or similarly significant decisions. Organization dashboards are intended for group learning, development planning, and trend analysis, not hidden monitoring or punitive profiling of individuals.
6. General Information Only
All articles, blog posts, guides, and educational content published on hdi.vision are provided for general informational purposes only. They reflect the views and research of the author at the time of writing. This content does not constitute professional advice and should not be relied upon as such. 8A. Data Protection Tools Are Not Legal Advice
HDI includes privacy-by-default settings, user-controlled individual result sharing, data export, anonymization request tools, audit logging, and aggregate statistics safeguards. These features are designed to support responsible use and data protection compliance, but they do not constitute legal advice and do not replace an organization's own legal duties, employee notices, lawful basis assessment, data processing agreement, DPIA, internal policy, or DPO/legal review where required.
