Look inside

This is what Lucija received. Lucija is not a real person: the answers are a fixture, and every sentence on these pages is exactly as it prints.

One story, in full

The stories in Lucija's book are chosen from the answers. This is the one about a phone that comes home from work. Read it the way it prints: with its notes, and at the foot the line that says where the practice comes from.

The second printed page of the story Noon to Noon, with the note from us, where the practice comes from, and who it is not for.
The phone edition of the story Noon to Noon, first screen.
The phone edition of the story Noon to Noon, second screen.
The phone edition of the story Noon to Noon, last screen, with the note from us and where the practice comes from.

One week from the plan

Six weeks, one practice at a time. Nothing is prescribed. The plan proposes, the reader chooses, and the caveat stands beside the practice at the same size. This is one week from Lucija's plan, as it prints.

A report page from week one of the plan: a place to write down daily screen time, three sizes of cut to choose from, and the first practice with its caveat beside it.

How it was made

The model behind the test and its groupings were built from published work, and the questions were written from that model. Under every story it says where the practice comes from - a study or a tradition - and how firm that ground is.

Every sentence on this site that claims something was read by an arbiter whose job is to refuse it. Some were struck. Where a claim could not be shown, we say what we do instead.
